A short clip of the Dusky Antechinus is a small hyperactive mouse-sized predatory marsupial, usually nocturnal but this species is known to be active in daytime as here. It occurs along the coast and ranges of southeastern Australia from the Qld/NSW border to Southwest Victoria and Tasmania. Antechinus are famous for the fact that males are so vigorous in having sex that they all die! For a time each year the population consists only of pregnant females. Filmed at Tidbinbilla nature reserve near Canberra. Also see the related Yellow-footed Antechinus at vimeo.com/140752717
