Swamp Wallaby (Wallabia bicolor, Macropodidae: Kangaroos, Wallabies) (south coast NSW, Australia)

The Swamp Wallaby is found in forest and woodland up and down the east coast of Australia. It is a browser and usually lives in thick undergrowth. Often wary but curious, it will move a short distance but will keep watching you, often from behind some vegetation. Distinguished from other wallabies with which it shares its habitat (e.g. the red necked wallaby by its dark colour.
